Teacher Attendance Register :All Teachers sign the authorized attendance register daily 15 min before the morning assembly / classes commence both when they arrive or leave. Teachers must not leave the school premises without the prior consent / written approval of the principal.

Leave.  Teachers may avail leave as mentioned in “Establishment share the Leave schedule”  and leave without prior sanction may be dealt as absence without pay.

Punctuality and Regularity:  Teachers should be regular and punctual in their attendance. Teachers are normally expected to reach at all the places of any activity in the school 10 minutes before the activity. Teacher is supposed to reach 15 min before the assembly and stay for 30 min after the end of the classes.

Punctuality in the class.  Teachers should make it a point to enter and leave the classroom on time, thus wasting the minimum time between lesson periods.

Locking Up:  The teachers who takes the last period before closing must make sure that all lights and fans are switched off, windows secured and doors closed before She/He leaves at the end of the day.

Resource material: All teachers are supplied with some basic resource material such as books, Teachers guide, maps, globes, geometry boxes etc. to enable them to teach their pupils more effectively. Books and teacher’s guide should be covered properly and should not be left lying around. Pupil’s notebooks collected by a teacher for checking are the responsibility of those teachers. These notebooks should not be left lying around in the staff room or classrooms after checking, but should be kept safely until they are returned to the pupils. Remember, a misplaced notebook may mean that the pupil loses several months work which will be difficult to make up one again this is most difficult for student as well as for you also. Teachers Planner:  The teacher’s planner is a chronicle of the curriculum to be followed; the lessons planned and approved by the principal and records of the pupils assessments. Teachers are required to carry their respective planners at all times and keep them up to date.

Custody of Resource Books and Diaries:  All teachers are required to hand over their resource books and teachers diaries to the principal before proceeding on leave or vacation.

Physical Environment: All the teachers are responsible for the physical environment of the school in general and the classrooms in particular. By virtue of the position, the teacher can check any littering, defacing of the building or wastage of energy etc.

Maintenance of Classroom Fixtures and Fittings etc. The Teachers should bring to the notice of principal any repair / adjustments / maintenance required in any class in which they teach so that quick action is taken and unnecessary risks are avoided.

Vigilance on the School Campus.  Teachers are required to supervise the pupils during the morning, break and after school on the Rota basis.

Staff meetings.  Teachers are expected to attend all staff meetings. Non-attendance without prior permission of the principal may result in disciplinary action against the concerned teachers.

Discipline:  The teacher must be consistent all the times when exercising discipline. Misbehavior of any sort should be dealt promptly, justly and without favoritism.

Personal examples.  Children respect rules if they are introduced logically and are followed by all without exception. The teachers act as a role model for their pupils, who consciously or unconsciously emulate their example. If pupils see a teacher breaking the rules, they will be tempted to follow suit.

Corporal Punishment.  Punishment is not the only tool for good discipline. A little well earned praise can often achieve a better result than negative criticism. Students at school are deprived and from oppressed segment of society and therefore, teachers must give them a sense of affection.

Avoiding sensitive Topics in Discussion.  Discussion on religious differences, political ideas, and conflicting social moral aspects can give rise to arguments which might blow up. Such discussion, if brought up by students or peers, should be approached with care and open mindedness and opinions should not be forcibly imposed on others.

Upkeep of staff Room.  The staff members are responsible for keeping their lounge neat and tidy. Teachers should check the notice boards in the school office and their staff room daily.

Teachers Turnout. Teachers are expected to behave and dress in a modest and dignified manner at all times, thus setting a personal example for the students to fallow. They must wear gowns in the classes.

Ensuring Students Hygiene. It is the duty of the all teachers to check the general neatness and cleanliness of pupil’s uniforms, Nails, Hair, and their general behavior both in and out of the classrooms.

Language of Communication. As English is the medium of instruction in the school, Teachers must speak in English and encourage the pupils for the same both in and outside the classrooms except during the Urdu and Islamite lessons.

Duties of the Class Teachers.  In addition to the above a class teacher’s daily routine consists of various activities to keep her informed about the pupils in her charge. In this way problems can be identified and remedied at any early stage thus enabling her subject teachers to get the best of the pupils.

Preparation of Results. Class teachers are responsible to prepare and maintain the result of monthly as well as term examinations.

Entries and Deletions in the Attendance Register.  While maintaining the Pupils’ attendance register, the class teacher will ensure that no name are entered or deleted unless she receive an admission or a withdrawal order signed by the principal.

Classroom Environment.  The classroom environment should be conducive so that the learning becomes a happy experience. Teachers should ensure that there are relevant, interesting and colorful displays on the soft boards including good amount of the pupils’ own work.

Display the Charts.  Apart from the time table, calendar and maps, all other displays should be the pupil’s own efforts, including interesting news, clippings, pictures, cartoons etc. The displays and other work on soft boards should be changed regularly to keep in touch with the progress and needs of the pupils.

Non Routine Duties. Apart from the normal everyday duties, a teacher is expected to make available for special duties when required.

Relief Duties. The Teachers are required to act as relief for other teachers who are absent whenever the Principal requests them to do so.

Canteen Supervision. A group of teachers (Canteen Committee) Should be responsible for keeping a regular check on the school canteen, ensuring that the quality of the merchandise being sold is good, the foodstuff is hygienically served and that the prices are fair and same for everyone.

Prep Duties. Teachers are required to supervise the prep duties in the school & hostels on rota basis. The rota will be prepared by the vice Principal/Head teacher/Supervisor..

Evening Sports.  Teachers are required to supervise and take active part in the evening games when the sports shows are held or any special duties assigned in special cases.

Political and Grouping.  Teachers will never indulge themselves in any politics or grouping. He/She will avoid participating in any activity which may damage the school environment.
