Subject: Opening of a new UBL Branch in Muzaffar Garh City
You asked me in your fax of April 15 to tell you on the
feasibility of opening a new branch of United Bank Limited in Muzaffar Garh
City.
In making the study, I surveyed the social and economic
factor of the community within the circle of 15 miles of Muzaffar Garh. I
noticed the factors which are helpful in opening a new branch there. For this
purpose, I met the manager, UBL, city branch, government officials, business
people, social workers, and the elite of the city. After interviewing them, I
observed that.

The
image of UBL is excellent in the community.

One
branch is not sufficient to fulfill the business needs of the residents of
Muzaffar Garh city. The city branch was established in 1980. At that time the
population of the city was three hundred thousand but now it is six hundred
thousand. Because of two fold growth in poplation, business activities in the
city are expanding rapidly.
New
industries have been set up in vicinity of Muzaffar Garh. Our existing branch
is far away from the new industrial area along the Jung Road.

The
proposed building is at suitable site near the expanding industrial area which
is the hub of commercial activities in the city.
In the light of above findings, I
recommend that;
- a. A computerized branch of UBL with the latest facilities such as ATM and on line banking should be opened.
- b. The new branch will fulfill the needs of industrialist and work force.
- c. To facilitate the overseas workforce, a foreign window should be opened in the new branch.
- d. The proposed building should be rented as soon as possible.
